The Rock.Paper.Scissors newsletter is out: An Introvert’s 6 Step Guide to Networking

Introverts unite
This month’s Rock.Paper.Scissors e-newsletter focuses on networking.  Missed the newsletter?  Check it out. (Not on my monthly e-newsletter mailing list? Whatsamatter you?  Sign up for free here.)
Have any of these ever happened to you?

  • You find yourself standing alone amidst a sea of interesting looking folks, all of whom look like they know everyone else but you & what’s more, are talking to everyone else but you.
  • Coming home from a conference you find yourself with a pack of business cards, most of which you can’t remember meeting the owners of or why you collected them in the first place.
  • You’re working on a project that you’d love to involve uhm, what’s her name that you met at that uhm, event that you can’t remember the name of nor where she worked.  Insert groan of despair.
All of the above, of course, are related to networking.  Speaking of which last month I got a chance to attend the Nexus Summit in NYC[*].  I’ve used that event to demo how I networked, guiding you through the process step-by-step.
In the meantime as summer (or winter depending on your hemisphere) starts to wane & the scent of the next season is starting to waft in I wish you well with your own connecting.  Let me know if you try anything from my article The Introvert’s Guide to Networking’ & how it goes.  Download the article here.
In the next post I’ll share some networking resources, both serious & tongue in cheek.  Can’t wait?  Simply click on the link at the beginning of the post to be taken to the full newsletter.
